Terms of use and sale
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This translation is provided for convenience. The French version is the only legally binding one and prevails in case of discrepancy.
These terms govern the use of the SkiRDV platform (the skirdv.com website and associated apps), published by the company identified in the legal notice (“SkiRDV”). They apply to skiers who book lessons (“Clients”) and to instructors who offer their lessons (“Instructors”). Using the platform means accepting them.
1. What SkiRDV does
SkiRDV puts Clients in touch with independent, state-qualified ski instructors. The lesson itself is a service agreed directly between the Client and the Instructor, who provides it under their own professional liability. SkiRDV is neither the Instructors’ employer nor a ski school: it provides the platform, checks the Instructors’ documents, manages the booking and charges service fees.
2. Account
- You sign in with a link sent by email or with a Google account. You are responsible for access to your email address.
- An account holder can add participants, in particular their minor children, for whom they declare they hold parental authority.
- The information provided must be accurate, in particular the participants’ level.
- SkiRDV may suspend an account in the event of fraud, abuse or serious breach of these terms.
3. Conditions for Instructors
- Hold the French State ski diploma (Diplôme d’État), a valid professional card and professional liability insurance, and work as a self-employed professional (SIRET number). Trainee instructors cannot offer lessons through SkiRDV.
- Provide the corresponding documents and keep them up to date. An expired document suspends new requests.
- Comply with the regulations that apply to ski teaching and to resorts.
- The Instructor is free to accept or decline each request. Repeated cancellations after acceptance may lead to their removal from the pool.
Plans
- Pool (free): the Instructor receives lesson requests at the price set by SkiRDV. A commission of 5% of the lesson price is payable by the Instructor, only once the lesson has taken place.
- Premium: a subscription of €199 including VAT per season, with no automatic renewal, unless there is a launch offer or partner code. The Instructor sets their own rates and has a public page. No commission is charged on their own clients, imported with their consent; new clients found through SkiRDV incur 5% fees on each side.
4. Booking a lesson
- Price: for pool lessons, the price is set by SkiRDV according to the time slot, the number of participants and the type of lesson. For a Premium Instructor, it is the price shown on their page. The price is shown before anything is confirmed.
- Service fee: a fee of 5% of the lesson price is paid by the Client when booking, as a deposit. It does not apply to a Premium Instructor’s own clients.
- Confirmation: a pool request is offered to the available Instructors. SkiRDV states the response time when the request is made. The lesson is booked when an Instructor accepts it; if no Instructor is available within that time, the request expires and the service fee is returned.
- Paying for the lesson: unless online payment is offered when booking, the lesson price is paid directly to the Instructor.
- Guarantee: a card authorisation may be requested when booking to guarantee that the cancellation terms below can be applied.
5. Cancellation
| Situation | Consequence |
|---|---|
| Cancellation by the Client more than 72 hours before the lesson | The service fee becomes a credit, usable on a future booking |
| Cancellation by the Client less than 72 hours before the lesson | 50% of the lesson price is owed to the Instructor |
| Client does not show up | 100% of the lesson price is owed to the Instructor |
| Weather conditions or lift closures | Postponement or refund free of charge |
| Cancellation by the Instructor | SkiRDV offers the request to other Instructors; failing that, the service fee is refunded |
6. Right of withdrawal
Under Article L221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services provided on a specific date, which is the case for ski lessons. The cancellation terms above apply instead.
7. Reviews
After a lesson has taken place, the Client can publish a review of their Instructor. Reviews must be honest and respectful; SkiRDV may hide an abusive, off-topic or fraudulent review. Reviews are not rewarded in any way.
8. Liability
- The Instructor is solely responsible for running the lesson and for their students’ safety, under their professional insurance.
- SkiRDV is responsible for the proper functioning of the platform and for checking the documents provided by the Instructors. It cannot be held liable for any damage that occurs during a lesson.
- The Client undertakes to state a realistic level and to follow the Instructor’s safety instructions.
9. Personal data
Data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy.
10. Complaints and mediation
Any complaint can be sent to bonjour@skirdv.com. If no amicable solution is found, a consumer Client may use the consumer mediator free of charge, whose contact details are available on request at this address.
11. Changes and governing law
SkiRDV may change these terms; the applicable version is the one in force at the time of booking or subscription. These terms are governed by French law.
